I haven't posted since Saturday. I didn't really have time. I was too busy 'kitchening'! I'll post about this soon. Ok, so this baby sock was almost the end of me. I've never made a sock before. It really isn't a complicated pattern, only I don't know how to count. I kept making silly mistakes and I spent way more time un-knitting than knitting. It probably isn't ideal for a first time sock knitter since I had to figure out the heel on my own. I think its a pretty funny looking thing, but I like it. I wonder if I'll ever do the second one?
I also worked a little on my Juliette Capelet. I really love it so far. I think its going to be so pretty when done.
I'm still reading Some We Love, Some We Hate, Some We Eat. Cole and I have also been reading Mr. Popper's Penguins
I hope you all have a great Wednesday!

that capelet is beautiful. maybe one day i will get there...the book looks fascinating! i just became vegetarian again after a few years off the wagon. lol.

I like the sock..very funky!
ReplyDeleteOh, Uncle Tom's Cabin is so depessing, Mr. Popper is much happier.
That is a funky sock! I love knitting socks, in fact I think they are my favourite thing to knit...but I can so relate to "second sock" anxiety...it's just not nearly as much fun the second time around.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started knitting socks, I called my aunt about 10 times a day to help me through the pattern.
That sock is so cool! I have to look up this capelet and this book - I love to read about food issues. Have you read Eating Animals?
ReplyDeleteThat is one very trendy sock!! The capelet is looking so frilly and lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh I love your funky little sock! So neat!
ReplyDeleteGreat sock - I have only ever knitted one - it never got it's mate. xxx
ReplyDeleteIf you decide not to make a second sock... it could become a Christmas stocking for.... the cat? LOL
ReplyDeletethe sock is great, you should really make the second one! and the books looks very interesting too. best regards!
